Zelenskyy To Get U.S. Patriot Missile Defence Systems, Will Knock Them Down Putin Responds

Dr Trenin discusses Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s trip to the U.S., meeting with President Joe Biden and other officials, his address to the United States Congress, which is set to allocate $44.9bn in aid to Ukraine, which if approved could ease Ukraine’s concerns that funding may be threatened after Republicans take charge of the House next month, President Vladmir Putin downplaying the Patriot air defence system that Biden promised to give to Zelenskyy, saying Russia would “crack” the Patriots, describing the system as “quite old” and saying such actions could only prolong the conflict, Putin’s meeting with his Belarussian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko, Ukrainian concerns that a renewed offensive in 2023 could come with Belarussian support, Russia providing the S-400 and Iskander missile systems to Minsk, former Russian President, Ex-Prime Minister and current deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev holding talks with China’s President Xi Jinping in Beijing, the western oil price cap, Russia emerging as one of the largest oil suppliers to India and offering India cooperation on leasing and building large-capacity tankers and PM Modi’s repeated calls for dialogue to end the conflict and his telling Putin this is not the era for war.
