NEW DELHI: If the Indian Navy operated two carrier battle groups earlier this month in the Arabian Sea in a display of maritime capabilities, the Indian Air Force too undertook three missions recently in the Indian Ocean Region, to Indiaโ€™s east, west and south. Each of the three missions, which included fighter jets and mid-air refuellers among others, had a flying time of seven hours, thereby pushing the limits of human endurance. In this episode of โ€˜Simply Nitinโ€™, StratNews Global Editor-in-Chief Nitin A. Gokhale has more about these missions that projected Indiaโ€™s reach and air power.
