New Delhi: At least 138 protesters have been killed in Myanmar since the February 1 military coup, the UN has said, including 56 over the weekend. India’s Foreign Secretary Harsh V. Shringla has pointed to India working with all parties and in the UN Security Council to facilitate “balanced outcomes” that could help in resolving the situation. The U.S. and some western countries, meanwhile, continue to press with selective sanctions.
