Trump Predicts End Of Democracy If He Loses

Donald Trump

Former US President Donald Trump has said that it would be the end of democracy in the US, if he did not win November’s presidential polls.

“If we don’t win this election, I don’t think you’re going to have another election in this country,” Trump said addressing a rally in Ohio.

“The date — remember this, November 5 — I believe it’s going to be the most important date in the history of our country. Now if I don’t get elected it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole, that’s going to be the least of it, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the country,” he added.

Trump has already won enough delegates to mathematically clinch the Republican nomination and will take on Joe Biden in the polls.

His comments attracted criticism from Biden’s campaign which issued a statement branding the Republican a “loser”.

“He wants another January 6 but the American people are going to give him another electoral defeat,” the statement said.

During the speech, Trump claimed that Joe Biden wrongly won the 2020 election and paid tribute to his supporters who are languishing in jails for rioting in the US Capitol in 2021, calling them “patriots” and “hostages”.

Over the past few months, Trump has been narrowing the gap with Biden in opinion polls with non-white voters, who formed a core part of Biden’s winning coalition when he defeated Trump in 2020.

According to poll observers, the two communities – Blacks and Hispanics – would play an important role in the elections and Donald Trump along with Joe Biden have been reaching out to the communities.

Trump said that there was a rise in the number of illegal migrants who were coming into the country during Joe Biden’s term.

“No one has been hurt by Joe Biden’s migrant invasion more than our great African-American and Hispanic communities,” Trump said.
