Chinese hackers disguised themselves as Iranian when they attacked Israeli government computers in 2019 and 2020. A report in the MIT Technology Review said the Chinese hackers deployed several false flags to deceive. But they were found out as they were looking for the kind of information that benefited China. The modus operandi also involved the use of the same files, infrastructure and tactics that the Chinese are known to use across the Arab world.
