NASA Aims At Changing Asteroid Direction

The US National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) will launch a spacecraft into an asteroid next month to change its direction. The mission, called Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART), is to help NASA develop expertise for future missions where there is a real danger of an asteroid hitting Earth. The DART will target the Didymos asteroid more than 10 million kilometres from Earth.
