Global warming is making the Indian monsoon dangerous, says research published in the journal Science Advances. Scientists came to this conclusion after analysing changes in the last million years. They found that periods of high rainfall and low salinity came following a period of high carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere and falling ice volumes.  This could cause wetter monsoons and massive flooding.
