Eye On China, US Congress Approves $768 Bn

The latest US Defense Authorisation Act passed by Congress envisages a mammoth spending of $768 billion with the focus on formulating a grand strategy on China and deepening Indo-Pacific alliances. A panel will be set up to report on the lessons learned from the Afghan war. It calls for broadening engagement with India including through the Quad, defence trade, military exercises and cooperation in fighting Covid.
