Indian High Commission In London Issues Advisory For Indian Nationals

The High Commission of India in London has issued a travel advisory, advising Indian citizens to be vigilant when travelling to the U.K.

Advisory

The High Commission has issued this advisory in the wake of recent protests and incidents of violence.

The High Commission posted on X, “Indian travelers would be aware of recent disturbances in some parts of the United Kingdom.”

High Commission Keeping A Close Watch

It further said that the High Commission of India in London is closely monitoring the situation.

It advised visitors from India to stay vigilant and exercise due caution while travelling in the U.K.

Indian travelers Must Follow Local News And Advisories

“ It is advisable to follow local news and advisories issued by local security agencies, and to avoid areas where protests are underway.”

It further said that in case of an emergency, the Indian visitors can contact the High Commission.

Riots In U.K. 

The U.K. is currently experiencing its most intense riots since 2010.

There is unrest in several cities.

False Rumors

False rumors about the tragic deaths of three young girls ignited disturbances.

Furthermore, far-right extremists made the situation worse.

How The Riots Began?

The riots were initially triggered by “disturbances linked to child murders”.

Now, they have spread to major cities such as Liverpool, Manchester, and Leeds.

Misinformation

Misinformation regarding the nature of these killings has contributed to the unrest, with far-right agitators using the situation to escalate tensions.

This has resulted in clashes between protesters and police, worsening the state of public safety and security.

Knife Attack 

The knife attack in Southport, led to the deaths of three young girls at a dance class.

Several anti-immigration groups have taken to the streets in various British towns and cities.

These groups have alleged that the suspect was a radical Islamist migrant.

However, authorities have confirmed that the suspect is a British-born citizen, and reports indicate that his family practices Christianity.
