Chinese Economy: A New Reality

NEW DELHI: If there is one wrinkle to Xi Jinping’s third term it is the Chinese economy. The combination of the covid-19 pandemic and the seismic geopolitical shifts have hurt the economy. It has most certainly lost its juggernaut-like momentum. The big question is whether the sharp slowdown could unleash a fresh set of challenges. Prior to setting up IMA Asia, Richard was the unit director for the Economist Intelligence Unit in Southeast Asia.
