NEW DELHI: The visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken sends an important signal to the world about how the US views India, says Arun Kumar Singh, former ambassador to the US. Speaking on StratNewsGlobal, he pointed to Blinken’s remarks where he said “We view Indian democracy as a force for good in defence of a free and open Indo-Pacific and a free and open world.”
Ambassador Singh, who is a member of the National Security Advisory Board, said the US sees India as crucial to its interests. So whether Afghanistan, China, the Indo Pacific or the Quad, India has its place and a role to play. This extends also to combating the covid virus and the world wide vaccination effort where India showed capacity and commitment.
