Green Hydrogen Mission: India’s Rs 19,744 Crore Push To Be A Global Hydrogen Hub

Ravi Pandit discusses the Union Cabinet approving the National Green Hydrogen Mission, allocating Rs 19,744 crore for hydrogen hubs, the manufacture of electrolysers, to attract investment, reduce fossil fuel imports, and develop India as an export hub, the targets for oil refineries to replace 30 percent of fuel usage with green hydrogen, fertiliser production to include 70 per cent green hydrogen, urban gas distribution networks to replace 15 percent of their fuel volume with green hydrogen by 2035, the green transition in mobility, electric vehicles, hydrogen vehicles, private and mass transportation, and the future of shipping, rail and aircraft running on green hydrogen.
