Indonesia To End ‘Virginity Tests’

Indonesia has signalled an end to the “virginity tests” required of all female officers joining the armed forces. Medical tests for women will be the same as those for men. Nor will fiancees of male offficers be required to undergo medical examination. The police had stopped the practice some years ago but the military had not.
