NEW DELHI: Today, the Indian Army released images of Chinese troops disengaging from the north and south banks of Pangong Tso. As per the agreement reached by both sides last week, PLA soldiers were seen dismantling sangars and other temporary structures they had built and heavy machines were seen restoring the land form to what it was before April/May 2020. If all goes as planned, the current phase of disengagement is likely to be completed by tomorrow. In this chat, StratNews Global Editor-in-Chief Nitin A. Gokhale and former Commanding Officer of Pangong Tso battalion Col. S Dinny (Retd) discuss the takeaways from the longest ever standoff along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
