U.S. President Donald Trump is likely to be in India for two days and a half, top diplomatic sources indicated today. While he will spend one day in Delhi on completing the official part of his visit, Trump is expected to spend one full day in Ahmedabad with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The highlight of his Ahmedabad visit will be a big rally at a stadium in the city. Organisers of the rally expect a crowd in excess of 100,000, according to sources. Many American NRIs are likely to travel to India, specifically to Ahmedabad to attend what is being dubbed Trump’s election rally in India to match the Howdy Modi event in Houston last September. Trump and his wife Melania are also slated to make a quick trip to the Taj Mahal in Agra to round off their India visit. It is not yet known if the U.S. President will get what he most desires: a trade deal with India which he can milk back home in an election year.
