How Goa, Daman & Diu Were Integrated With India

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Goa tomorrow and take part in celebrations organised to mark Goa’s liberation day. Although India gained independence from the British in 1947, Goa, Daman and Diu that were ruled by the Portuguese had to wait 14 years to be integrated with the Indian union.
