What Is EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism?

In the next 4 months, European Union will roll out a new Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism or a Carbon tax on the imports of high carbon-producing products like aluminium and steel (and other products like fertilisers, etc).

This move is likely to impact India significantly as the country exports 27% of steel and aluminum to the EU.
