The best-kept secret about India is the compelling transformation that is underway in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns like Jaipur, Ludhiana, Indore, Lucknow, Bhopal and so on. Few know that they contribute a little more than a third of the country’s gross domestic product, nearly half of the employment and are home to half of the startups in the country.
A recent survey conducted by Primus Partners, a Delhi-based consultancy firm, confirmed these trends and concluded that Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns provide a thriving ecosystem to foster entrepreneurship and innovation.
