Mars Probe Completes 7 Years In Orbit

India’s Mars Orbiter spacecraft has completed seven years circling the red planet, well beyond its designed life of six months. The orbiter mission provided valuable lessons in the design of systems and subsystems, launch for an interplanetary mission, insertion into Mars orbit, operation of the craft and so on. The spacecraft may last another year, according to scientists.
