U.S. Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, have welcomed their fourth child, a baby boy named Alec Neel Vance.
The couple’s son was born on Sunday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Announcing the news on X, Vance said both mother and baby were doing well.
“Usha and the baby are happy and healthy and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother,” he wrote.
The newest addition joins the couple’s three other children. Their eldest son, Ewan, was born in 2017, followed by Vivek in 2020 and daughter Mirabel in 2021.
JD Vance, who hails from Ohio, met Usha Vance while they were both studying at Yale Law School, where they graduated in 2013. Usha, whose parents immigrated to the United States from India, has often remained out of the political spotlight while supporting her husband’s career.
The birth marks another milestone for the Vance family as JD Vance serves as the 50th Vice President of the United States.
