U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Wendy Sherman has had talks in India on the India-US strategic partnership post the first in-person Quad summit, “security, defence, economic, and climate linkages.” Both sides discussed COVID and “issues of regional interest, especially the evolving situation in Afghanistan, as well as developments at the UN and reiterated the commitment for a free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific region, including through continued cooperation under the Quad.” Ms Sherman is in Pakistan next.
