‘Hamas’ Days In Gaza Are Numbered’

NEW DELHI: When Israeli forces move into Gaza, they will do so with one intention: to ensure Hamas is forced out completely, in the same manner in which the Palestine Liberation Organisation was ejected from Jordan so many years ago.

In this conversation on The Gist, Khinvraj Jangid, visiting faculty at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel, says that Tel Aviv is left with no alternative given what Hamas has done.  The aim now would be to ensure Hamas is thrown out of Gaza and forced into exile, it then becomes somebody else’s problem.

Jangid argues that the current focus in Israel is on the war in the south.  But once the war is over and borders are secured, politicians like Benjamin Netanyahu will pay the price for the deaths of over 1000 Israelis. He is already under fire in the media about his indifference to national security despite warnings from his defence minister.

Tune in for more in this conversation with Khinvraj Jangid.
