New Chapter Of India- Mauritius Partnership
The new airstrip on Agalega island, and St James jetty, inaugurated jointly and virtually by PM Narendra Modi and Mauritian PM Pravind Jugnauth give the strategic partnership between the two countries a major boost. Agalega is located over 1000 km north of the main island and from here, the Indian Navy will be able to monitor all maritime activity in the western Indian Ocean.

These workers at a construction company in Henan Province literally spelt it out on their vests asking to be paid for their work. They slept outside their office in sleeping bags last month in another desperate attempt. The post-lunar New Year holiday time in China was when wages would see an uptick but this time around, with China’s economy slowing, many workers are fighting to just to get what they are owed.
North Korea’s Spy Satellite ‘Alive’
North Korea’s spy satellite, which it launched last November, is ‘alive and well’, as per a Reuters report. Changes made to its orbit also suggest that the North Koreans are able to control its movement. After the launch, North Korea’s state-controlled media had claimed that the satellite had photographed sensitive military and political sites in South Korea, the US and elsewhere
