A decade ago, a book titled ‘Beyond NJ 9842: The Siachen Saga’ was published. Set on the world’s highest battlefield (about 20,000 feet) where the inhospitable terrain and harsh weather are any soldier’s worst enemy, the book is a tribute to the indomitable human spirit against all odds.
