NEW DELHI: It’s the longest running insurgency in Asia and negotiations have been on for over two decades now, yet a peace deal remains elusive for Naga insurgent groups. The issue (of Naga sovereignty) has been alive since India’s Independence and the ‘struggle’ led to the creation of smaller states from the undivided state of Assam.
