U.S. President Joe Biden reached out to Narendra Modi over the phone on Monday night, promising all help to combat the surge of Coronavirus cases in India. Modi tweeted his relief .. “Had a fruitful conversation with POTUS … I thanked President Biden for the support being provided …”
The chat, it was not clear how long it went, also covered the efficient functioning of supply chains for vaccine raw materials and medicines. Modi underscored his support for the India-U.S. healthcare partnership to address the global covid challenge.
Biden promised early delivery of therapeutics and ventilators and said his officials would identify sources of raw materials needed to make the Covishield vaccine.
