NEW DELHI: The U.S.-Pakistan relationship, which was on the rocks till Imran Khan was ousted as Pakistan’s PM in April this year, has seen a reset of sorts ever since. There have been clear indicators of a new-found affinity between the two countries. The tottering Pakistani economy has somewhat stabilized due to revival of a stalled IMF package. A $450 million sustenance package for F-16 fighter jets has been given and a country that harbours and helps terrorists is finally out of the FATF grey list after four years. All these wouldn’t be possible without U.S. generosity. In this episode of ‘Ask Nitin’, StratNews Global Editor-in-Chief Nitin A. Gokhale explains the reasons for the Americans changing tack.
