NEW DELHI: The central or the middle sector along the India-China Line of Actual Control (LAC) is the least troublesome sector so far unlike the Eastern (Arunachal Pradesh-Sikkim) or Western (Ladakh) sectors mainly because both sides have limited military options to gain advantage in this area. Not surprisingly, it has remained quiet but for occasional intrusions by the Chinese soldiers. However, with Nepal’s current government bent on doing China’s bidding, India has to be on its guard since a combined China-Nepal move here would spell some trouble for India given the peculiar geography in this region. In the episode of Strategic Insight, brought to you in association with India’s oldest military think-tank, USI, Editor-in-Chief Nitin A. Gokhale is in conversation with Lt Gen Harish Thukral (Retd) and Lt Gen PJS Pannu (Retd).
