‘Democracy Has Weakened In Pakistan, Imran Khan Defers To The Army’

Over 70 years since its founding, Pakistan remains a country where the men in uniform dominate every aspect of life, appropriating the lion’s share of the budget and engaging in strategic games with neighbours to no discernible effect.

In an exclusive conversation with StratNewsGlobal, Pervez Hoodbhoy, an academic, formerly of the prestigious Lahore University of Management, warns that the current Prime Minister Imran Khan could be the most deferential to the army, fulfilling its every whim.
