Sheikh Hasina’s Poll Pitch: ‘Need Another Chance’

Wishing her countrymen on the occasion of Eid, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made a strong poll pitch, asking people to vote for her party Awami League in the next general election scheduled early next year. “I am grateful to the people as they voted us to power time and again and gave us scope to serve them. I wish the people will give us another chance to establish Bangladesh as a developing nation as the country will start its journey as a complete developing nation from 2026. We have taken preparation to this end.” Bangladesh, she said, has witnessed huge socio-economic advancement as the people voted the Awami League to power in the 2008, 2014 and 2018 elections. She warned people against electing the anti-liberation and corrupt elements to power again, saying those forces will destroy all the achievements of the country, reports The Daily Star.
