China Slams US, Philippine Warships’ Joint Patrol In South China Sea
China is firmly opposed to the Philippines’ actions of colluding with the external force to patrol and stir up troubles in the South China Sea, said Air Force Senior Colonel Tian Junli, spokesperson for the Chinese PLA Southern Theater Command, in a written statement on Thursday. The spokesperson said that the guided-missile frigate Yuncheng of the navy under the PLA Southern Theater Command has been conducting routine patrol in the South China Sea since November 21. In the meantime, the Philippines has colluded with the external force to patrol the South China Sea, stir up troubles and hype it up, undermining regional peace and stability and violating the spirit of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC). The troops of the PLA Southern Theater Command remain on high alert at all times to resolutely safeguard China’s sovereignty and security as well as maritime rights and interests, and maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea, stressed the spokesperson.

French Foreign Minister Visits China To Enhance Strategic Mutual Trust
French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna began her two-day visit to China on Thursday. She is scheduled to co-host the 6th meeting of the China-France high-level dialogue mechanism on people-to-people exchanges, paving the way for more activities in 2024 to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and France. The dialogue concludes the series of high-level dialogues following French President Emmanuel Macron’s state visit to China in April, including the high-level economic and financial dialogue in July and strategic dialogue in October, according to the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Colonna’s visit also came as Chinese President Xi Jinping called on French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday to carry forward the traditional China-France friendship and push bilateral relations to a new level during a phone conversation between the two leaders.

China Releases Document On Vision, Actions For Belt And Road Cooperation In Next Decade
China on Friday published a document titled “Vision and Actions for High-Quality Belt and Road Cooperation: Brighter Prospects for the Next Decade.” The document was formulated by the Office of the Leading Group for Promoting the Belt and Road Initiative. In the next decade, all parties will be encouraged to strive towards equal cooperation and mutual benefit, propelling Belt and Road cooperation into a new phase characterized by high-quality development, the document read. The document specified five objectives, namely building a smoother and more efficient connectivity network, ensuring comprehensive and practical cooperation to reach new levels, elevating the sense of gain and fulfilment for the peoples of all participating countries, establishing a new system to support China’s open economy at a more advanced stage, and popularizing the vision of a global community of shared future. Policy coordination, infrastructure connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration, people-to-people ties and cooperation in new fields are the key areas and directions for Belt and Road cooperation in the next decade, according to the document.

Promotional Event For Xi Jinping’s Book Held In Nepal
A promotional event was held in the Nepali capital on Thursday for the English version of the fourth volume of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China.” Jhala Nath Khanal, former prime minister of Nepal, told the event that he found “a visionary outlook of building socialism in China in a very innovative and constructive way” by reading previous volumes of the book. In the books, readers could find “real socio-political and philosophical answers” to questions related to China’s rapid development and transformation, he said. China Brings Back Home Remains Of Martyrs Killed In Korean War
The remains of 25 Chinese soldiers who died during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-53) were brought back to their motherland on Thursday and are scheduled to be buried at a martyrs’ cemetery in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on Friday. articles belonging to the fallen fighters were carried back from Incheon in the Republic of Korea by a Y-20 strategic transport plane of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force to Shenyang on Thursday morning. As soon as the Y-20 entered Chinese airspace, two J-20 stealth fighter jets formed an escort to honour the fallen warriors. After the transport aircraft landed at Shenyang Taoxian International Airport, PLA soldiers carried the caskets, covered by China’s national flag, out of the plane and placed them in front of hundreds of government officials, military personnel and representatives of the public for a brief remembrance ritual. After the ceremony, the caskets were transported by PLA trucks and escorted by a police motorcade to the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army Martyrs’ Cemetery in Shenyang. A large number of Shenyang residents stood along the route, holding flowers and national flags to show respect.
